Got a real treat up today - last week I went nuts and bought a full unit of Revenant Pirate Crew and Captain Rengrave for my Cryx army and since work is slow this week I painted them for today. I've been planning to get a unit of these guys for at least a year by now so I finally snapped and went for it :).
I tried to keep their skin and clothes looking like they spend most of their time submerged. There are a lot of similar models but luckily they come with different heads and I tried to paint them in varied ways to keep the unit interesting. They are placed on a tub because the black on the bases is still drying, ha ha!
Rengrave is done in the same scheme but with slightly more highlighting to make him stand out a bit, you can see his front and rear in the two last pics.
Hope you like 'em, can't wait to finally throw these down on the table sometime soon.

Painted my new Bane Thrall standard bearer and officer for my Cryxies tonight. Just a standard job to match the rest of the unit - the last photo shows them all together. I did some lazy freehand on the banner so I might go back and redo it eventually but for playability it'll do for now. Anyone up for playing some Warmachine/Hordes sometime?

Shifted gears a bit this time, went back to my old'n'unfinished pile to finally get my Epic Skarre done (Cryx warcaster). Tried to stick to a the beaten up look my Cryx army has in general with a few small flourishes to keep her interesting. Yes, that is part of a ship's bow she is standing on :), one of my favourite things about the mini. Her hair isn't quite as matched to her cape as it appears in the photos, the colours appear a bit bleached out in the pics. More Eldar to come soon as well as some more Cryx and Trollbloods, depending on what I get done first!

Got six more Jetbike Guardians down on the weekend, giving me at least a viable Jetbike wing of two units of 6 bikers (or 4 units of three if I'm feeling crazy), a solid foundation until I paint up my final 6 guys. I gave the two Shuriken Cannon-upgraded guys a pistol just to break up the monotony a bit and make it easier to spot the Shuris for moving and wound-taking purposes. Last photo shows all 12 together - sorry, I forgot to take pre-painted pics of this second group.

I have worked on hobby stuff, but nothing to post yet. My assembly line of French Napoleonics is proceeding slower than expected. I am working on some voltigeurs and grenadiers who have slightly different colours. Then the assembly line can start in earnest. I think I may end painting some goblins this week.

My last of the Jetbike Warlocks I've put together, this one has a cape and spear from a Wood Elf figure, filed down a bit and greenstuffed slightly in places to get it to fit on his back. He also has a smaller Witchblade so I can outfit him with either spear or blade depending on my needs. His body and head are from a Shining Spear like his buddy I did last week.

Another Warlock on bike with wing conversion, same wings as the previous one, painted a little different to distinguish the two. Witchblade is a mirror sword from a Howling Banshee exarch and the head is again a Storm Guardian head.
