Week 34: Tristan - Necromunda... Spyrers

I do have some other pics to do a step by step if anyone is interested, but here is my second batch of Spyrers, doubling my initial gang size to ten!!  You can see pics of my first batch on my blog here.
Let me know if you wanna see the step by step photos.  I'd highly recommend the painting method used.  I took these five models from basecoated red and black to finished in about four hours. They look quite good for the amount of effort put in.

Week 34: Karl - Beggars can't be Choosers

This is a Ral Partha beggar which I plan to use as my character in an ongoing D&D campaign. I could have chosen to finish this miniature last week, but I got an Xbox and decide to be a schlump instead. The quality of the images is a bit low, my computer died and has not been replaced yet.

I am having trouble figuring out how to make faded colours. I ended up mixing in some GW Bleached Bone to the colour I wished to appear faded and then lightly dry brushed this mix on (heavier towards the edges). As you may have noticed I am pretty poor at picking colours, so the patches to his clothing does not match anything at all, which I suppose is in character.

Next week I plan to get a unit of 15mm Napoleonic French infantry completed. Those little minis are a bugger to paint, but with 15 minutes a day I think I can get them all done.

Cryx Corrupter (aka Tri-Jack)

Posted this on the PP forums first but here it is today: my plastic tri-jack kit magnetized for all three jacks (Slayer, Reaper and Corruptor). The main weird/slash cool looking build is the Corruptor with a injector pods in both his main weapons. I didn't do much with his tusks compared to my other jacks, I'll probably go back and give them a more standard bone-shaded coat but for now he'll do the trick. *If* I field a Mortenebra list at the Canadian Nationals at FanExpo I'll be using this guy!
